<p>The AET Helium or Hydrogen Recovery Purifier is a streamlined solution for gas purification. Designed as a cryogenic adsorber-based system, it effectively handles gas flows under pressure, seamlessly removing impurities through the process of adsorption.</p>
<p>At the core of this purifier, AET employs silica gel or equivalent adsorbents as the active material. This is housed within an adsorber vessel, which is carefully submerged in liquid nitrogen to achieve optimal purification conditions.</p>
<p>Recognizing the importance of resource conservation, AET has smartly integrated heat exchangers into the system. These components serve a critical function: they pre-cool the helium or hydrogen gas before it makes its way through the desiccant/adsorbent bed.</p>
<p>In this way, AET's design not only preserves valuable cryogenic fluids but also enhances the overall efficiency and sustainability of the purification process. With the AET Helium or Hydrogen Recovery Purifier, you are investing in clean, efficient, and responsible gas processing technology.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: center;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Process Description</strong></span></h3>
<p><strong>1. Gas Inlet Process:</strong><br />Impure gas arrives at the AET purifier and is divided into two separate streams.</p>
<ul>
<li>The first, larger stream flows through <em>Heat Exchanger I</em>, where it swaps heat with the returning, purified helium gas.</li>
<li>The second, smaller stream is directed to <em>Heat Exchanger II</em>. Here, it is cooled counter-currently by a stream of nitrogen gas that is exiting a boiling bath of liquid nitrogen.<br />These two streams then reunite and travel to a coil submerged in a liquid nitrogen bath within <em>Heat Exchanger III</em>. At this stage, the gas is cooled to nearly the temperature of liquid nitrogen.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>2. Moisture/Gas Phase Separator:</strong><br />After cooling, the gas progresses to a separator that extracts any liquid nitrogen or oxygen droplets from the stream. This separator's level is diligently monitored, and any accumulated liquid is systematically vented. Simultaneously, nitrogen boil-off gas leaves the liquid nitrogen pot and cools the smaller incoming gas stream in <em>Heat Exchanger II</em>.</p>
<p><strong>3. Adsorber Bed:</strong><br />Next, the process gas advances into a cold bed of silica gel in the Adsorber. Here, contaminants within the gas are adsorbed onto the surface of the silica gel, effectively purifying the gas.</p>
<p><strong>4. Gas Outlet Process:</strong><br />Finally, the full, cleaned stream exits the Adsorber bed. It returns to <em>Heat Exchanger I</em>, where it once more exchanges heat with the larger incoming stream. Having been thoroughly purified, this stream then exits the AET system as high-quality, clean gas.</p>
<p>In this structured and efficient setup, AET leverages precise engineering and expertly designed components to ensure effective and reliable gas purification.</p>

<p>The AET Helium or Hydrogen Recovery Purifier is a streamlined solution for gas purification. Designed as a cryogenic adsorber-based system, it effectively handles gas flows under pressure, seamlessly removing impurities through the process of adsorption.</p>
<p>At the core of this purifier, AET employs silica gel or equivalent adsorbents as the active material. This is housed within an adsorber vessel, which is carefully submerged in liquid nitrogen to achieve optimal purification conditions.</p>
<p>Recognizing the importance of resource conservation, AET has smartly integrated heat exchangers into the system. These components serve a critical function: they pre-cool the helium or hydrogen gas before it makes its way through the desiccant/adsorbent bed.</p>
<p>In this way, AET's design not only preserves valuable cryogenic fluids but also enhances the overall efficiency and sustainability of the purification process. With the AET Helium or Hydrogen Recovery Purifier, you are investing in clean, efficient, and responsible gas processing technology.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: center;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Process Description</strong></span></h3>
<p><strong>1. Gas Inlet Process:</strong><br />Impure gas arrives at the AET purifier and is divided into two separate streams.</p>
<ul>
<li>The first, larger stream flows through <em>Heat Exchanger I</em>, where it swaps heat with the returning, purified helium gas.</li>
<li>The second, smaller stream is directed to <em>Heat Exchanger II</em>. Here, it is cooled counter-currently by a stream of nitrogen gas that is exiting a boiling bath of liquid nitrogen.<br />These two streams then reunite and travel to a coil submerged in a liquid nitrogen bath within <em>Heat Exchanger III</em>. At this stage, the gas is cooled to nearly the temperature of liquid nitrogen.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>2. Moisture/Gas Phase Separator:</strong><br />After cooling, the gas progresses to a separator that extracts any liquid nitrogen or oxygen droplets from the stream. This separator's level is diligently monitored, and any accumulated liquid is systematically vented. Simultaneously, nitrogen boil-off gas leaves the liquid nitrogen pot and cools the smaller incoming gas stream in <em>Heat Exchanger II</em>.</p>
<p><strong>3. Adsorber Bed:</strong><br />Next, the process gas advances into a cold bed of silica gel in the Adsorber. Here, contaminants within the gas are adsorbed onto the surface of the silica gel, effectively purifying the gas.</p>
<p><strong>4. Gas Outlet Process:</strong><br />Finally, the full, cleaned stream exits the Adsorber bed. It returns to <em>Heat Exchanger I</em>, where it once more exchanges heat with the larger incoming stream. Having been thoroughly purified, this stream then exits the AET system as high-quality, clean gas.</p>
<p>In this structured and efficient setup, AET leverages precise engineering and expertly designed components to ensure effective and reliable gas purification.</p>

<p>The Helium or Hydrogen Recovery Purifier is a cryogenic adsorber based purification system. It accepts a flow of gas at pressure and removes the impurities by adsorption. Silica gel or other similar adsorbents are used as the adsorbent material and it is submerged in liquid nitrogen. To preserve cryogenic fluids and promote conservation, the system has several heat exchangers to pre-cool the helium gas prior to its passage through the desiccant/adsorbent bed.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: center;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Process Description</strong></span></h3>
<h4><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Gas Inlet Process</span></h4>
<p>Impure gas flows to the purifier and splits into two streams. One stream passes through Heat Exchanger I, exchanging heat with the returning pure helium gas. The second, smaller stream, flows to Heat Exchanger II and is cooled counter- current to a stream of nitrogen gas leaving a boiling bath of liquid nitrogen. These two streams rejoin and flow to a coil submerged in a bath of liquid nitrogen within Heat Exchanger III, where it cools to within a degree of liquid nitrogen temperature.</p>
<h4><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Moisture/Gas Phase Separator</span></h4>
<p>Gas then enters a separator removing droplets of liquid nitrogen or oxygen. Level in the separator is monitored and any liquid that is collected is vented. The nitrogen boil-off gas exits the liquid nitrogen pot, cooling the smaller of the two incoming gas streams in Heat Exchanger II.</p>
<h4><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Adosrber Bed</span></h4>
<p>The process gas continues and enters a cold bed of silica gel, which acts as an adsorbent within the Adsorber, where the contaminants are adsorbed on the surface of the silica gel.</p>
<h4><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Gas Outlet Process</span></h4>
<p>The full stream exits the bed and returns to Heat Exchanger I, where it exchanges heat with the larger incoming stream and leaves as purified gas.</p>

<p>Helium is one of the most precious gases. Since it is so light, it will escape to the upper atmosphere when vented and there is a finite amount of it under Earth&#8217;s crust, which takes time to locate and process. Recycling and conserving helium would be a valuable effort for generations ahead.</p>
<h3>What is included in the scope of a helium recovery system?</h3>
<p>Helium Recovery Units are generally composed of Six modules. The Modules include Gas Storage, a Compressor, Oil Removal System, Gas Drier, Helium Purifier and Purified Gas Storage. If the use type is liquid helium a liquefier and liquid helium storage dewar can be integrated.</p>
